Gives a better screen layout with 'corporate branding' visible as page layout does not exceed the screen size. No scrolling text limits the page content and increases the amount of pages required for a large site or pages that need to display lots of text and images within the same page. Basically, more work for the designer so costs can rise considerably for large corporate sites.
